The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process through which unbaptized adults and children who have reached the age of reason are initiated into the Catholic Church. Baptized but uncatechized adults and children share a similar journey as they prepare for full initiation or to be received into full communion.
Classes meet on Monday evenings from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in the meeting room of the Alejandro Palazio Family Center building (accessible from the parking lot behind Gesù Church). This bilingual program begins in mid-September and continues through the Third Week of Easter.
Adults who wish to prepare for the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Communion) are invited to participate in this RCIA program. Sacraments of Initiation will be celebrated at the Easter Vigil liturgy.
Adults who wish to grow in knowledge of their faith and to deepen their appreciation for Jesus, his teaching, and his Church are also most welcomed to participate.
In the year 2020-2021 program, Fr. James Lambert SJ, will guide the participants.
